Strangeways Here WE come
February saw the band play Nottingham, Darlington and Leeds - packed houses all and three shows that the band will long remember. Thanks to the several hundred good folk who came, hand in glove and stayed on our arms. March is here and it's a big month. We kick off on March 12th with our show at Manchester's Ritz Ballroom. The Smiths played here and we can't wait to follow in those footseps. It's been three years since our last Manchester show - it's been too long. The following day we return to the lovely Assembly Rooms in Tamworth - a gorgeous civic theatre and lovely lovely fans. That's followed by shows in St Albans (20th) (always a wonderous, rowdy night) and then a return to Scotland for the first time in two years - back to Edinburgh (27th) and the good folk of that fabulous City. We've announced our first major Festival gig with our appearance(s) at the Isle of Wight Festival (June 11th -13th). We are yet to confirm the day(s) we'll be performing but that will follow shortly. We have also been confirmed today for a second Feeling Gloomy show of 2010; our show on Saturday May 22nd timed to celebrate Morrissey's birthday.
We recently launched our Facebook page and have gained a few hundred friends already, so if you haven't become one yet, we hope you'll follow the link below and do just that. Daily discussions such as the Smiths song that said something to you about your life is part of the Smyths Facebook experience, giving the band the chance to interact with it's fans and take the celebration of Morrissey and The Smiths beyond the stage.
The dark days of winter will soon be over. Heaven knows it won't be a day too soon!
